. . . which was the title we submitted the book now known as Trade Secret under. Steve thought it was perfect, and as Steve was lead on the book, he got to title it. Alas, Baen Management for some reason did not resonate to Writ of Replevin, though Madame owned herself to have learned something.
I am back from crafting. The cats are enjoying Happy Hour and I’m about to find something for dinner.
Got a busy few mornings coming up — COVID shot tomorrow morning, after which I’ll pick up a few things at the grocery store (being as I’ll be in the grocery store), come home, change out the cat boxes, and then maybe do some work. Or at least continue reading Trade Secret.
Thursday morning, I need to take the car in for an oil change and tire rotation, hoping that this time they’ll remember to tighten — no really — tighten the oil cap.
Friday morning, Sarah will be by to do her thing, and Saturday! There’s a Members Party at TJMaxx. As I find myself unexpectedly a Member, p’rhaps I’ll go.
All this to say that I’ll be in and out for the remainder of the week.
Everybody have a good evening. Stay safe. I will check in as opportunity allows.
I haven’t had anything to say for awhile, but I’m going to issue what I hope is either “fair warning” or a warning that is not needed at all in the end. I’ve never had reactions to my COVID shots, anything more than just a slight feeling of being “off” the day after. But this time—when I got my COVID 6-month booster this past Saturday—WOW. For the first time I really got whacked. I noticed my arm was quite sore as I fell asleep that night, but that’s just to be expected, right? But then I woke up at about 1:30-2:00 a.m. shivering and aching so badly I couldn’t get back to sleep till I finally dragged myself out of bed and loaded up on ibuprofen and Tylenol. Had to get up by 7 to feed cats their breakfast, but then it was right back to bed, where I slept through the time to reload my meds. So by the time I got to it I was feverish and really uncomfortable again. Finally I was able to ease of the analgesics yesterday, but even today I had a bit of “that’s not normal, is it” going on? Anyway, all that’s not to say anyone else will react to this spring’s version of the vaccination, it best not to take for granted you’ll be functional the day after.
Yeah, I had my first ever reaction to a vaccine in September, when I got a COVID vaccine from my doctor’s office. I was down for 18 hours — absolutely freezing cold, and aching in muscles I didn’t know I had. Happily, I slept through most of it — even happier, the cats accepted in the spirit of Mom’s Training for the Marathon! and piled on top to show me how it was done. Hoping for considerably less drama this time.
TJMaxx is one of my happy places. I love to check out the gourmet food section. Bargains on freeze dried strawberries and bananas my best score to date. I like to try things at a reduced rate incase I don’t like them.
Ann Patchett puts out a video on facebook every friday about books she recommends called New to You. You might like it for some ideas on books. I just started reading a nonfiction recomendation Pillars of Foundation about the Webb Telescope. It seems interesting.
