I believe the lighthouse you pictured is the Burnt Island Lightstation–I’ve stayed a week out there a number of summers when Dept. of Marine Resources used to operate their wonderful programs for educators, run by the incredibly knowledgeable, talented and versatile Elaine Jones, now retired, sadly. Ram Island Light, and Cuckolds Light, are both kinda tiny lighthouses.

  2. Next time you go on a whale watch, if you don’t mind a small walk, you can park at the public parking on 11 Howard St. I think it may be cheaper than $50…and it’s up behind the library, which is a block or two from Cap’n Fish.

  3. Lovely narrative of your adventure. I too was surprised that puffins were that small when I saw them. Very cute though.
