I took all of my clothes that don’t fit me out of the closet, stripped them off the hangers and stuffed the clothes into bags to go to Goodwill. This is the follow-up act to last week’s giving away of the coats that no longer fit.
Yeah, it’s a thrill a minute around here.
I also washed yesterday’s dishes, edited the chunk of stuff I wrote yesterday, did research on bolas, and will soon make the internet vanish so I can write New Things today.
The cats. . .are all sleeping as dangerously as possible.
And that? Is all I’ve got.
No, wait.
I’ve got a snippet.

Progress on Dragon in Exile: GOOD/Author satisfied
“Is there any thing that I might find for you?”
“A wise man who has lost nothing.”
“I do not think that such a man exists,” he said, coming to his feet. “Yet, if he does, I dare not bring him to you.”
“Why not?” she demanded.
“For then he would lose his heart, and that would be cruel.”
Almost a Zen Koan. Nasty snippet.
I’m sorry, that should be TASTY snippet.
Not nasty.
Duh, I need coffee.
Sorry about that.
It is a thrill to see all that space in your closet etc – I’m not moving, but I am trying to get rid of excess stuff.
Ooh, nice snippet.
We are still sorting after moving. STILL!! I have a pile of stuff for various charities/friends/computer recycling that all needs to be delivered to new homes. The cat reigns supreme over a box plateau behind the sofa–sun puddle central. I finally dug out the box labeled “Lee/Miller” while the cat was elsewhere and unpacked it a few days ago 🙂
My theory, and I’m sticking to it, is that prolonged darkness causes shrinkage in natural fibres. This is why the summer cottons no longer fit after overwintering in the closet. This may have some bearing on your inventory control situation 🙂
These snippets are so tantalizing! (Dying to know who “he” and “she” will turn out to be.) Thank you for sharing them with us!
Thanks for the snippet but it begs the question “What is a smattering? 2 snippets?
Thanks for the updates and good luck with the house and move.
