Dear Sharon,
Beautiful cats, ditto picture. Just writing to tell you’re a favorite author. Last book reread was I DARE.
I hadn’t heard about your loss. The four-year anniversary of Rob’s passing was 01/26/25, so I know a little bit of what you’re going through.
It took me four years to do a 32-credit masters in journalism because I worked full-time at night. I used to bounce stories off Rob too. I found some notebooks of things he’d written that I hadn’t seen. I tried to tell him that I thought he had real talent and he should work at it. I guess he thought I was just saying that as his wife. No! I was saying that as a writer!
He showed his love in a very tangible way. He worked for the University of Arizona Student Union. Back then employees’ spouses could take as many courses as they wanted for $25.00/semester. He stuck with a job I knew he hated so that I could go to school. That spelled love to me.
I will be praying for you. I am a student in a 12-week program called GriefShare. It is unashamedly Christian, so if you’re OK with that, it
might help.
With all the thousands or millions of people who write to you ,you probably won’t see this. But just in case you do, I’m thinking of you.
