  1. I loved all few of Janet Kagen’s novels. Like you and Steve, she was excellent at world/universe building and populating them with lovely, interesting, in-depth characters/species, while still building intriguing, engaging, and fun stories. While “Mirabile” is my favorite, “Hellspark” in particular built a vast universe with a palette of species and characters that seemed to cry out for a series. It’s a shame she didn’t live long enough to get to play in that universe. (And from the little I know of her as a person, a shame that this world lost her so young.)

I am very much looking forward to “Salvage Right. ” Thank you for so many wonderful stories (especially the Liaden and Carousal stories)!
