Can I recommend a book? Mr. Penumbra’s 24 Hour Bookstore, by Robin Sloan. It’s the kind of book that makes me want to run up to total strangers and say “you’ve got to read this book!”
it’s not magical realism, and it’s not science fiction, and it’s not a lot of things – but what it is is totally charming.
